Nana and her Retinue

Nana made her first big outing since knee replacement surgery a few weeks ago looking extremely fit and happy. Here she was chatting with a couple of good friends Carlos and Douglas while watching the hillarity with the parachute unfold!

The Parachute

The kids enjoyed playing with a parachute enormously - the soccer balls were too light though and flew immediately away. We tried other games - running around a circle, children running under, making a tent, etc.

Decorating Soccer Balls

We gave out inflatable soccer balls the kids decorated at the start of the party. They had a lot of trouble holding on to their own specific ball as the party progressed (much less keeping them in the park), but enjoyed them nonetheless.

The Gazebo

Here's the setup for Raz' birthday party. The Gazebo in Washington Market Park - aka "the Red Playground" is a great party location for a nice day, and the day turned out very nice.

Raz Pile of Loot

Raz has been very into pirates and the Coast Guard lately and the immortal conflict between them, thus this very piratical pile of treasure. He was so excited to turn 5 - the gifts were almost incidental (but not :-)

Raz and Zina Growing

The kids have been really sweet together - she has been crawling and standing and he has been following her around to give her lots of huds and kisses. Here's some video of her standing...

The Graduation

Here is the graduating class of Trinity '07! These folks are now on to a variety of kindergardens around the city and beyond.

For graduation we got Raz a scooter - here's some video of Raz scooting...

The Vault

I hesistate to think who's monument Raz is inadvertantly desecrating here. After the graduation the party moved into Trinity's churchyard (graveyard), a cemetary containing the graves of many revolutionary heroes including several of the signatories of the declaration of independence.

Family at Graduation

Here we all are at graduation! Raz is clearly pondering the many changes in his life here, but the rest of us are happy to have gotten to this point.
