Teething

Zina will chew on anything right now. One tooth is in and another is almost in - should get easier after the first couple.

Zina's doing a lot of standing now as long as she has something to hold onto. She can also hold herself up in the air by my fingers - little kids have amazing upper body strength.

Raz and Zina

Still happy as a big brother - and Zina adores Raz.

We went hiking in Bear Mounain part - early spring and the first arrivals were not the birds, but the gnats. Still, it was a wonderful walk in the woods and a great escape from NYC considering it's so close. It was originally intended to be a day trip, but problems with the rental car prompted Milda to turn it into an overnight. Go Milda!

Milda and Zina at Easter

Here are Milda and Zina looking beautiful in their Easter finery. Zina's sweater and hat were made by Nana!

Cheetah

Raz as a Cheetah - enough said...

We went to the Tribeca Film Festival Street Fair last weekend and Raz got his face painted among many other activities. He had a great time - played tennis, football, and watched lots of dance and music performances. He later tried to imitate some break dance moves with mixed success. A very successful day.

Here's Raz demonstrating another favorite game - he likes to climb onto something high and then jump to me. He's pretty bold about it as you can see from the next picture. Every day he's more adventurous and interested in doing more challenging sorts of climbing games.

Raz jumping across the gulf - he loves being caught in midair and is still light enough for me to do it! In another year or two I might have to hire in help :-)

Raz and Kaleb Bicycling

Raz and a his friend Kaleb got together for the NYPD Bicycle Day in lowe Manhattan. The NYPD performed bicycle maintenance, checked helmet sizes and gave away new helmets to children who had outgrown their current gear. After getting a helmet, we went to brunch at a local diner and then bicycling.

Erazmas and Zina playing together

Raz and Zina have decided they both like jumping on Daddy. The game started with Erazmas when he was the size of Zina here. I thought at one point that he would outgrow the game, but he has shown no signs so far of wanting to quit. It's like doing crunches - good for the abs.
